Our Designer & Luxury Auction takes place on Thursday 23rd July commencing at 2pm. In this fantastic sale we have over 130 lots of beautiful designer handbags, accessories and clothing. Particularly strong in this sale is our selection of Louis Vuitton bags, in classic and timeless designs that are highly sought-after by collectors and fashionistas alike.
The Keepall is the ultimate holdall bag, it does what it says on the tin! The Keepall was designed in 1924 for travel, and bags are named after their length. Louis Vuitton is a ocmpany with a history steeped in the creation of travel goods, with their cases, portable wardrobes and trunks fetching fantastic prices at auction. The Keepall comes in four sizes: 45, 50, 55 and 60. Our auction includes eight Louis Vuitton Keepall bags, both in the classic monogram coated canvas as well as the wonderfully textured Epi leather.
Also in the sale are two Keepall Bandoilière bags. Literally translating to 'with a strap' in French, the Bandoulière adds a practical twist to a classic design with a detachable shoulder strap.
The Speedy was created as a miniature version of the Keepall, with a length of 30cm. In 1965, Audrey Hepburn made a special order for a 25cm Speedy, and she became the unofficial face of the bag. The Speedy is available in four sizes, 25, 30, 35 and 40.
We have no less than eight Louis Vuitton Speedy bags in this sale, ranging in sizes and colours.
The Noé bag was introduced in 1932, and its iconic bucket style design has been admired by fashionistas ever since. This wonderful bag was originally commissioned by a producer of champagne that needed a bag that could hold four upright bottles, and one upside down. The Noé was born! Our sale features four fabulous Noé bags - chin chin!
The Alma bag was introduced in 1934, initially called the 'Squire' bag. Designed by Gaston Louis Vuitton, the Alma was the second handbag after the Speedy to be created by the brand. An iconic design featuring a double zip, luxurious rolled handles and two inner compartments, the Squire bag was later renamed after the Place de L'Alma in Paris. Three wonderful Alma bags are featured in this week's sale, all in the classic monogram coated canvas that Louis Vuitton is so renowned for.
Named after one of the largest green spaces in Paris, the Montsouris backpack is a wonderfully versatile bag that is no longer available to purchase new. Designed in the 1990s, and revisited in their Fall Winter 2017 collection, Louis Vuitton's Montsouris backpack remains a firm favourite amongst brand enthusiasts.
The Neverfull is a hugely popular bag, and one of the most frequently requested bags from our client base. Quite rightly so, as a stylish and practical addition to any wardrobe, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull is a tote bag named for its volume. Crafted as a classic Tote shape, the Neverfull features lace sides that allow the bag to change shape according to the volume, making it a wonderful bag for any occasion.
