Set to shine in our forthcoming Fine Jewellery & Watches Auction is lot 280, a stunning diamond dress ring. Showcasing an exceptional principal stone, in an eye-catching, imposing and stylish setting, this unique piece truly has it all. Totalling an impressive 14.70 carats of diamonds and black diamonds within a bespoke setting.
The wonderfully proportioned principal heart cut diamond weighs approximately 5 carats, with a wonderful colour and excellent clarity. To find such a large stone with relatively few inclusions that are only loupe-visible is a rare occurance. Estimated at H-I colour and SI clarity, this beautiful diamond is accentuated by its bold, unabashed and dazzling setting.
Surrounded by a bombe setting consisting of a single brilliant cut diamond weighing approximately 0.20ct, and approximately 9.50 carats of black diamonds, set in a white metal assessed as 18ct white gold. Black diamonds are classed as a fancy colour of diamond, and gain their colour from mineral inclusions such as pyrite, graphite and haematite in the stones, blocking light passing through the stone and resulting in an opulent and dramatic black colour, coupled beautifully with the adamantine lustre of the gemstone.
Featuring an exeptional stone in a beautifully sentimental cut, this unforgettable piece is perfect for showing that special someone your love!
