Porcelain of Penzance

Significant 18th Century Porcelain collection to be sold.

Porcelain of Penzance

We went to the beach for our summer holidays and brought back over 500 pieces of early English porcelain!

This massive collection (the work of some twenty years collecting) is due to be sold as part of our 12th -13th September Fine Art Sale. Many of the 18th century factories are represented in the collection: Caughley, Worcester, Bow, Bristol, Derby, however a focus is mainly around the Liverpool factories of Chaffers, Christians, and the porcelain of the Penningtons family. Also included in the sale will be ceramic reference works and a small collection of Chinese porcelain, mainly pieces that tie in with English porcelain production.

Sale catalogue will be online from 24th August. Sale viewing is Sunday 9th September 2-4pm Monday 10th September 10am-5pm Tuesday 11th September 10am – 4pm and on morning of auction.
