Coins are sold regularly in our auction room. Many collectors around today will have started back in the 1940s and 50s by sorting through pocket change to find rare dates or to complete sets. Of particular interest are pre-1920 and pre 1947 silver coins and gold sovereigns. In general, collectors prefer their coins in good condition but older items will also have a value albeit based on the weight and type of metal.
