Insurance and Probate Valuations

In this ever changing world with house contents becoming more vulnerable to theft Insurance companies are, in the event of a claim, asking claimants to produce an inventory and valuation of the contents of their property. If no valuation is available, very often the insurance company will not settle a claim. In these circumstances, auctioneers and Valuers are not able to give retrospective valuations. It is the recommendation of most quality insurance policies that the house contents are covered with an inventory and valuation therefore giving a much better opportunity of making a claim in the event of a loss.

Insurance and Probate Valuations are tailor made to suit each individual clients requirements. Insurance valuations are normally fully illustrated. Generally three copies of the valuation are produced, one for your own reference, another to be lodged with your bank and a third copy to be presented to your insurance company.

Our fees for this work are £75 and hour or £250 for ½ day and £450 for a full day and appropriate travelling expenses (these charges are all subject to VAT)
